WHY?
OUR MOTIVATIONS
Our silent natural landscapes inspired us so much that we wanted to bring them into interiors all over the world. Our goal is to bring sustainability to the sound absorbing world embracing the concept of slow fashion and only using materials that Mother Earth gives us. Our main raw material is the wool of the Icelandic sheep, which has spectacular features that are unique in the world.

The Icelandic wool has both very long hair, which are thick and rough, and short hair, which are soft and thin. These two types of fibres are: inner fibres, which are soft, fine and highly insulating and outer fibres, which are long, glossy and water-repellent. This fibre combination increases the air in a wad of wool improving its ability to absorb vibration. We then use a soft felting technique making sure that these properties are not lost by densifying the material too much.

Iceland is the least populated country in Europe with almost 80% of its surface uninhabited. We want to give you the opportunity to experience our connection with nature and feel its serenity. Our products are inspired by the islands plateaus, mountain peaks, fresh lava, hot springs and fertile lowlands. Their shapes, textures and colours characterise every inch of the landscape from the deepest fjords to the highest glaciers.
